Manchester United agreed a deal to sign Bastian Schweinsteiger from Bayern Munich for £13million on Saturday, but they still look likely to start the season short on firepower.

Club sources say manager Louis van Gaal isn’t panicking over signing a new striker, but he will have Wayne Rooney as his only senior established forward when the club leave for their pre-season tour

Manchester United

Romours have it that Manchester United  have agreed a £30million deal with Southampton for Morgan Schneiderlin.

The club will make the France midfielder their fourth summer signing as they close in on two more new recruits.

Bastian Schweinsteiger and Matteo Darmian are also expected to complete moves this week before United head to the USA on their pre-season tour.

The three new acquisitions will cost United £80m on top of Memphis Depay's £25m arrival earlier this summer. 

Paris Saint-German and Manchester United have agreed a deal which will see Angel Di Maria move to Parc des Princes. The financial details have yet to be agreed between the two clubs.

   

                                          
Liverpool       

Liverpool have agreed with Manchester City over Raheem Sterling's sale.

The Reds are prepared to offload the star  for £49m, with a medical expected in the coming days.

Sterling rejected a £100,000-a-week contract at Liverpool earlier this summer and has since told the club he will not go on their pre-season tour.

Sources also have it that liverpool are looking to sign manchester united striker Javier Hernandez

        

 Chelsea

The Blues have been sitting back and watching their rivals bolster their sides this summer.

Jose Mourinho's only incoming has been Radamel Falcao on a loan deal from Monaco.

But Chelsea are still expected to be busy ahead of the September deadline.

And according to ESPN the Blues are closing in on a deal to bring Charles Aranguiz with a suggestion an £8m deal could be close with Chelsea.

The Chile midfielder was impressive during the Copa America and put the Blues on alert as the hosts romped home to victory.

Arsenal have also monitored his situation with compatriot Alexis Sanchez said to have spoken to him about a move to London.

Manchester City's pursuit of Paul Pogba is being held up by an image-rights issue. A former representative still has a stake in the French midfielder, who may be forced to hand in a transfer request at Juventus in order to seal a move away.
